The New Ford Transit Custom is ready to order and drive away from Dinnages. Winner of ‘International Van of the Year’ - and the new Ford commercial flagship vehicle, the model is the first step in a refresh of the entire range.

The van is offered with a choice of three body styles: Van, Double Cab In-Van and Kombi. There are also bulkhead and wheelbase options depending on the body you choose. Access to the cabin is simple through the sliding side passenger door, and it even has a built-in step for convenience. Picking the Double Cab In-Van adds a second row of passenger seats, and the Kombi’s seats have 30 different arrangements. With any Transit Custom, the 1.4-metre internal load height and integrated roof rack are the same.

Out on the road, this van drives like a car, and offers a typically high amount of convenience and space for a Ford. The cabin has been redesigned to make the most of every space, and there’s even a ‘mobile office’ in the front, as the passenger seat has a fold-out table. Eight sturdy tie-down loops are fitted in the cargo area, which is well lit by energy-saving LEDs.

The Transit Customs are now powered by a range of Ford EcoBlue 2.0 Litre TDCi engines, which conform to strict Euro 6 emission standards. All engines use Auto Start-Stop technology, which cuts power at a standstill to save on fuel. Claiming up to 46.3mpg combined, the van easily outperforms the rest of its class for economy.
